Every photographer has a passion for the work they do and I have always loved to photograph people. This is why I went on to specialise in portrait photography, mainly editorial portraits, rather than any other photographic discipline.
As part of my personal development as a portrait photographer, I embarked on a project of collecting London Street Portraits. This was back in 2011, but although street portraits was not a new concept at the time and had been done by many others, it was very new to me when I first started trying them out.
When I take to the streets of London and start looking to photograph random people, I can never explain exactly what I am looking for. You never know who you will meet on the streets and it can be a unique combination of their expression, physical energy, and appearance that catches my eye. A lot of my subjects have something that runs a little deeper than their physical appearance and I feel my subconscious knows this when I first see them
